CGM Judges to Adjudicate at the Global Chefs Challenge 2024

Two members of the Chefs Guild of Maldives will be adjudicating in the Global Chefs Challenge 2024 taking place in the FHA HoReCa from October  22 to 25, 2024, in Singapore.

Chef Joodhy Khalid and Chef Shyhama Shafeeu of the Chefs Guild of Maldives are rookie judges in pastry arts since 2022. Upon completion of adjudicating in the Global Chefs Challenge 2024, Chef Joodhy and Chef Shyhama will be eligible to become WorldChefs-certified continental judges, increasing the count of Continental Judges among CGM’s members to 11.

Chef Joodhy Khalid, a member of the Chefs Guild of Maldives’ Executive Committee, is a renowned pastry chef with over 24 years of experience. She is the first Maldivian Gold Medalist at the IKA Culinary Olympics, and a recipient of the National Award of Recognition (Promotion of Craft and Labour) by the Government of Maldives.

Chef Shyhama Shafeeu has over 15 years of experience in baking, cake decoration, and creating sugar crafts. She runs her own business in the Maldives named “Bake & Decor”.

The Global Chefs Challenge is an international competition where top chefs from the world will compete in four main challenges: Global Chefs Challenge, Global Pastry Chefs Challenge, Global Vegan Chefs Challenge, and Global Young Chefs Challenge.
