Tourism Advisor to UN Mohamed Ali Janah Meets with FIFA President to Discuss World Football

Tourism Advisor to the United Nations, Mohamed Ali Janah has met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and held discussions on football, joint works and community betterment. 

The special meeting took place at FIFA's headquarters in Doha, Qatar. Janah, who arrived at FIFA's headquarters in Qatar on a special invitation from FIFA president Infantino, was presented with FIFA’s football released this year. 

Janah praised Infantino for his amazing leadership skills and delivery to the world of football. Further, he mentioned collaborative efforts on creating opportunities for the betterment of both communities. Infantino also shared to social media that he’s ready to team up and go forward with collaborative works with Janah.

On his recent visit to the Maldives, Infantino stayed at Waldorf Astoria, one of the world's most luxurious resorts developed jointly by Janah and a Middle East Mahajan. His previous stay in the Maldives was in 2022 right after the World Cup, which had created a buzz in world media.

FIFA is gearing up for the 2026 Eid World Cup in world football in the United States. This year's World Cup will be held in 11 cities across the United States. The last World Cup was held in Doha, Qatar in 2022. It was one of the most successful tournaments in FIFA's history.
