CleanTech Maldives proudly announces the successful conclusion of its “Breathe Clean, Live Pure” Cleaning & Wellness Innovation Showcase, held on 9th August 2025 at Riveli Beach Club, Hulhumalé. The event brought together leaders from the hospitality sector, property management, consultancy, professional cleaning companies, and hygiene-conscious individuals from across the Maldives.

The gathering impressed attendees with live demonstrations of world-class, industry-certified cleaning and wellness solutions already used by top hotels in Europe, Australia, and the Middle East, and now making their way into the Maldives market.

High-Level Guests & Industry Representation

Chief Guest Ms. Maha, Board Member of Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation (MMPRC), delivered an inspiring keynote highlighting the critical role of sustainability, hygiene, and innovation in maintaining the Maldives’ status as the world’s leading luxury tourism destination. She commended CleanTech Maldives for its leadership in introducing technologies that align with global standards and raise operational benchmarks in the local hospitality industry.

Janet Smailes, Hygiene & Food Safety Consultant & Trainer at FHC Maldives, delivered an engaging session, “Hygiene Matters: Protecting People, Business, and the Environment,” underlining how improper cleaning and chemical misuse can damage health, harm the environment, and put businesses at risk.

Revolutionary Products Showcased

Attendees were surprised to witness firsthand that true chemical-free cleaning is possible while saving costs, improving staff efficiency, enhancing health, and harmonizing the environment. The event featured:

● Medeco Cleantec (Austria) – A high-end, advanced steam cleaning system for chemical-free, deep hygiene across hospitality, healthcare, and high-traffic environments. Presented by Mr. Fritz Pattis, this system offers unmatched efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

● Hyla International (Germany) – German-engineered vacuum and air purification system with water-based filtration, presented by Mr. Stefan Paul Fürschuß. Designed to remove allergens, dust, and odors, it elevates air quality in luxury spaces.

● Symbio Harmoniser (Austria & Maldives) – Presented by Mrs. Daniela Darxl and Mr. Aanu Haathif, this wellness solution complements both Medeco and Hyla technologies, creating healthier, more balanced indoor environments for guests and staff alike.

Official Signing of Exclusive Distribution Agreements

A key highlight was the signing of exclusive Maldives distributor agreements between CleanTech Maldives and both Medeco Cleantec GmbH and Hyla International, marking the official entry of these global-standard technologies into the local market.

A Passion-Driven Vision

In his address, Mr. Mohamed Bassam Adam, CEO of CleanTech Maldives, emphasized that the company’s journey is driven by a deep personal commitment to the Maldives’ tourism sector. He acknowledged the trust and support of international partners who share this passion for excellence.

Reflecting on CleanTech’s humble beginnings in 2016 as the Maldives’ first eco-friendly cleaning company, Mr. Adam recalled pioneering sensitive-surface cleaning solutions and leading national COVID-19 disinfection initiatives. These efforts have set benchmarks in sustainability and inspired new players in the cleaning sector.

“We go beyond basic cleaning,” he stated. “Our aim is to deliver cost savings, operational efficiency, and industry-leading hygiene standards while contributing meaningfully to the Maldives’ reputation as a world-class hospitality destination.”

The event concluded with a networking lunch, where attendees exchanged ideas, explored partnerships, and left with wellness gift bags.
