Six Senses Laamu resort to present chocolate bars made in the resort itself, handcrafted
using first class organic criollo beans.
The chocolate bars named "Laamu Chocolates" will be
introduced with unique and delicate flavors such as, cinnamon filled with dried
fruits and nuts, lemon grass and a bar with spicy habanero pieces infused for
those who would like a challenge.
The idea of making their own chocolate bars came as part of the "Eat
with Six Sense" philosophy followed by all properties under the name of the Six
Senses Brand across the world, says the resort. The aim of this philosophy is to provide all
their food and drinks through natural ingredients originated from farms in a
sustainable way with limited waste.
Criollo coco beans are exquisite, hard to find beans known
for their high price. Beans found in South America, Caribbean and Sri Lanka are
used, which is a less bitter with a perfectly rich chocolate taste.
Six Senses brand was recently merged with the Intercontinental
Hotel Group, IHG. Six Senses Laamu is the only resort on the remote Laamu Atoll
in the southern Maldives just a short inter-island flight and boat hop away.
