Kuwait Airways Announces Launch of Flights to Maldives

As part of the continuous endeavors to expand its network of destinations for its valued customers, Kuwait Airways has announced operation of flights to the Maldives from end of October this year.  

The airline has scheduled two weekly flights between the destinations via its Airbus A320neo from October 31 onwards.  

The new connection is expected to increase tourist arrivals from the middle east. Maldives has been recording a rising number of arrivals from the middle east, mainly from Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait.  

As of August 12, Maldives has welcomed over 1 million tourist arrivals for the year 2022. Earlier this year, the President of the Maldives, His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced that the nation aims to welcome 1.6 million tourist visitors to the Maldives in 2022. India, UK, Russia, Germany and Italy remain in the top 10 markets to Maldives.
