Thamheed’s impressive career spans more than 27 years. Originally from the Maldives, he began his hospitality journey at the age of 15 in 1996 as a waiter. In 2003, he joined Sun Siyam Resorts as a Food and Beverage Coordinator and has since steadily climbed the ranks. Over the past two decades, Thamheed has remained deeply committed to the brand’s values and vision. He has served as the General Manager of Siyam World and Sun Siyam Iru Fushi and was appointed Group General Manager in 2013, overseeing all six of Sun Siyam’s resorts in the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the opening of Siyam World in 2021. Now, stepping into the role of Vice President, Thamheed brings the same passion and dedication that have defined his journey within the company.
