Manta Air Welcomes New Twin Otter to its Fleet

Manta Air has welcomed the newest addition to its seaplane fleet, a Twin Otter delivered from Canada on November 6, 2020.  

This is the airline’s 7th Twin Otter to have arrived at Velana International Airport, since they commenced seaplane operations in November 2019. The Twin Otter was built by de Havilland, a renowned British aviation manufacturer.  

The seaplane is painted with Nautilus Maldives livery and will carry the registration 8Q-RAE. 

On October 25, Manta Air kicked off domestic operations and recommenced scheduled flights to Dhaalu regional airport with enhanced safety standards acknowledged by both local and international health experts, ensuring guests a safe and hassle-free journey, where they can feel comfortable and travel with confidence. 

With major expansion plans for the future, Manta Air continues to operate charter flights and ATR turboprop fleet to to transfer passengers between the country’s main Velana International Airport and Dhaalu Airport, located on the island of Kudahuvadhoo.
