Canareef Resort Maldives is thrilled to announce the remarkable achievements of its culinary team at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives Global Culinary Challenge 2024. This prestigious competition, held at Dharubaaruge, Malé, Maldives, saw our talented chefs secure an impressive total of 17 medals across various categories, showcasing their commitment to culinary excellence.

The event, endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), is renowned as the region’s most esteemed culinary competition. It serves as a vital platform for chefs from over 100 resorts, hotels, and restaurants to demonstrate their skills and gain invaluable feedback from an internationally acclaimed panel of judges.

Upon their return, the resort welcomed the culinary team back in style, with a warm reception at the jetty. A special gathering was arranged at Meera Bar, where the team enjoyed refreshing welcome drinks and were greeted with a heartfelt speech by our Assistant General Manager, Deepak Kannan. This celebration not only honored their achievements but also emphasized the resort's pride in their hard work and dedication.

This year’s competition brought together a vibrant community of culinary professionals, allowing chefs to make new connections, share experiences, and admire the creative showpieces that represent the best of Maldivian and international cuisine.
