Velaa Private Island Appoints Wayne Milgate as New General Manager

Velaa Private Island has appointed Wayne Milgate as its new General Manager. In his new role, Wayne will oversee all day-to-day operations while managing all aspects of guest experience. 

With his career spanning over two decades, Wayne has acquired a wealth of experience in luxury hospitality working with renowned international brands across the world. Starting off as an assistant manager at five-star Gold Coast International Hotel, Australia, he has held several managerial positions over the years including serving as General Manager to North Island, Seychelles in 2013 and a six-year tenure at Vomo Island, Fiji, where he gained the best of luxury private island experiences.  

Prior to his appointment at Velaa, Wayne worked with Iniala Hotels and Resorts as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as well as filling the role of General Manager at Iniala Beach House for six years. During this time, he developed an emerging brand into a successful boutique hospitality group and launched new hotels, resorts and restaurants across Asia and Europe. 

Hailing from Australia, Wayne is an enthusiastic person upholding values such as dedication, purpose and innovation in both his professional and personal life.
