Fourteen guesthouses from Thoddoo have joined forces to promote the island at the upcoming I Am Maldives Roadshow, set to take place across Central and Eastern Europe this November.

Scheduled for November 17–21, 2025, the roadshow will tour Warsaw, Bucharest, and Prague, bringing together 26 Maldivian tourism representatives, including resorts, hotels, guesthouses, liveaboards, and travel agencies. The event aims to strengthen the Maldives’ presence in the fast-growing Central and Eastern European (CEE) market—an increasingly influential region for inbound tourism.

According to Zulaikha Ibrahim, CEO & Managing Partner of Shoreline Grand Thoddoo, this marks her second major initiative to unite Thoddoo guesthouses under a single brand identity. “It’s another proud moment for us to stand together and promote Thoddoo Maldives as a unified destination,” she said.

Zulaikha also highlighted that working with NHGAM has been exceptionally smooth. “NHGAM has been incredibly cooperative. They work very closely with us, organise the events exceptionally well, and consistently bring in quality travel agents. This support makes a huge difference in strengthening our presence in new markets.”

Thoddoo, widely known for its rich farming culture, tropical cultivations, and one of the Maldives’ largest and most stunning beaches, also boasts the highest number of guesthouses on a single island. Its easy accessibility—just one hour from Velana International Airport—continues to draw travellers looking for authentic Maldivian experiences at an affordable price.

“We look forward to making meaningful connections in this roadshow,” Zulaikha added. As part of the event, the Thoddoo delegation will give out 15 raffle vouchers, including 7-night stays sponsored by five guesthouses, offering travel partners a chance to personally experience the beauty of the island.
