This month, Alila Kothaifaru Maldives put its World of Care commitment into meaningful action through projects aimed at enhancing the school experience for local children and nurturing a healthy marine environment.
As part of the ongoing support it extends to R. Maduvvari school on neighbouring Maduvvari Island, the resort donated two 50-inch televisions and installed colourful cushioned flooring in two classrooms. These enhancements have contributed to creating a more vibrant, comfortable, and engaging learning environment that will not only enrich the children’s education today, but also benefit future generations.
During the month, the passionate team at Alila Kothaifaru Maldives also turned their attention to protecting the island’s natural beauty with a lagoon clean up. From plastic waste to other types of rubbish, they diligently went about removing every item of marine debris from the surrounding waters in an effort to preserve the delicate marine ecosystem around the island they call home.
“At Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, we believe that true luxury goes hand in hand with responsibility. Our World of Care initiatives reflect our deep commitment to nurturing both people and place—by enriching the learning journey of local children and by protecting the fragile marine ecosystems that sustain us. It is our privilege to contribute meaningfully to the community we are part of and to the natural environment that inspires every guest experience.” — Thomas Weber, General Manager, Alila Kothaifaru Maldives
These latest initiatives highlight the commitment of Alila Kothaifaru Maldives to give back in positive ways, caring for both people and the planet. Whether teaming up to clean the ocean, or joining hands with the community to support children’s education, Alila Kothaifaru Maldives believes in the spirit of collaboration to bring about positive change.
