Following the management change of Kanuhura Maldives, the luxury resort has announced the appointment of John Allanson as its new General Manager. With a hospitality career spanning over 3 decades, John has mostly filled managerial positions at various properties in the Vietnam and UK before moving to the Maldivian shores in 2012.

Prior to his new appointment, John held the position of General Manager at Outrigger Konotta in the Maldives.

Most recently, Kanuhura Maldives has been moved under the management of HPL Hotels & Resorts. Becoming the 12th property added to its portfolio, Kanuhura Maldives also was marked as the overall 7th Maldivian property to be managed by the hospitality company.

Sharing his thoughts on the new appointment, John said, “As the custodian of this little piece of paradise Kanuhura Maldives, and on behalf of the team, I am excited and look forward to welcoming you to our shores. Leaving your footprints on our beach will be the fondest holiday impressions and special moments that last a long time.”

Kanuhura is nestled in the idyllic Maldives and lies 150 km north of the capital Male, in Lhaviyani Atoll. An island 1400 metres in length and 350 metres wide, Kanuhura Maldives is an untouched, unfettered paradise, where each moment can be described as a “timeless castaway chic experience” for travellers seeking laid-back island living. Every footstep is a discovery, whether you’re exploring Kanuhura or its two neighbouring islands, Jehunuhura and Masleggihuraa.
