Gourmet Week at Cocoon Maldives with Award-Winning Pastry Chef, Andrea Zanin

From 29th September 2021- 04th October 2021, Cocoon Maldives reopened its doors to its Gourmet Weeks showcasing creative culinary delights by renowned chefs of Italian and International cuisine.

In the beautiful setting of stylish restaurants, guests took part in exclusive show-cooking, during which the visiting chefs gaveproof of their culinary art.

The first Chef hosted by Cocoon Maldives this year was the award-winning pastry chef and BIANCO LATTE NEW YORK CITY founder Andrea Zanin, a reference point of Italian cuisine in the USA and food consultant for very well known Italian brands in the world.

The celebrated chef hosted 3 different appointments: a show cooking at main restaurant, a set menu gala dinner at à la carte restaurant and a masterclass on the history of "panettone", where he explained and elaborated his awarded recipe in front of in-house guests, paying homage to the Italian Panettone branded by Andrea Zanin.

In addition to the exciting Gourmet week, Coccon Maldives announced that Andrea Zanin will be showcasing his famous " Panettone" exclusively for the guests in Cocoon and You & Me Maldives during Christmas & New Years Eve prepared carefully with selected ingredients to sooth taste buds!

This special dessert is an Italian type of sweet bread originally from Milan, usually prepared and enjoyed for Christmas and New Year with a long culinary history and is becoming popular even abroad. Cocoon and You & Me Maldives is excited to introduce the "Best Panettone" in Italy in partnership with Andrea Zanin to the Maldives in most joyous time of the year.
