Luca Massimiliano Radice, Executive Chef at Vilamendhoo Resort has been appointed Denmark’s representative Ambassador for the charity initiative, ‘CSF’ (Chefs Sans Frontieres).
CSF charity has been created by chef Alan Coxon for the purpose of raising funds for small artisanal food producers and farmers that have lost livelihoods and business caused by natural disasters.
Top celebrity chefs, Michelin star chefs, industry leaders and even a Prince have joined forces in this global initiative, where Alan is inviting a leading chef representative in every part of the world to help support and be ready to assist when disaster strikes in any part of the world.
The aim and intention of CSF is to support, re build lives, and businesses of local, regional food and drink producers, retaining cultures, skills and traditions that contribute to culinary cultural heritage around the world.
The funds raised by CSF will go towards purchasing vital equipment, products, produce and livestock such as new flocks of sheep and goats for farmers, new bee hives, bees and wild flower seeds for local honey producers, new pistachio trees and Olive groves for olive oil producers, small fishing boats to name but a few that have suffered loss and decimation caused by fire, flooding or other natural causes, much of which is heightened by the effects of global warming.
