From February  20 – 22, 2025, Patina Maldives will host an unforgettable weekend of music, film, and art, curated by Alex Turnbull. Known for his influence in underground culture, Turnbull’s career as a DJ, drummer, filmmaker, and innovator has left a lasting impact on music and fashion.

As a founding member of 23 Skidoo and a collaborator with icons like Sade, Seal, and Neneh Cherry, Turnbull helped shape music for generations. His work with the International Stüssy Tribe also defined the connection between fashion, music, and rebellion. Now, he brings his unique vision to Patina Maldives for a truly special event.

The weekend will feature a DJ set beneath the Maldivian stars, blending past and present as Turnbull’s music fills the night air. There will also be a Stüssy archive pop-up, offering a glimpse into the revolutionary fashion that shaped a generation.

A screening of Kim Lim: The Space Between, a personal film by Turnbull, will also be showcased. The film explores themes of art, identity, and reinvention as a tribute to his mother. Over three nights, the lines between past and future, art and audience, will blur in a celebration of culture that moves and connects.
