Zoona Naseem- The first ever Maldivian female PADI Dive Course Director

Zoona is a key figure in the field of diving in the Maldives. She's one of the most respected divers of the archipelago and has been the President of the Dive Association of Maldives for several years.

Throughout Maldivian History, Zoona is renowned as the countrys first female dive course director who has been certified from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). Subsequently earning the title of being the second dive course director from the Maldives, the first course director being Sendi Hussain.

Zoona started getting interested in diving in the nineties while she was working for the Sun Diving School in Male and around the same time she started going for dives.

She achieved the certification for PADI Dive Master at the age of 18 and has learned about and dived in all the impotent dive spots of the Maldives throughout her 20 year dive career.

With the experience and training she had achieved throughout her career, Zoona is completely confident that she will be able to coach and conduct dive instructor certification programs to the international recognized level set forth by PADI.

PADI is the worlds leading scuba diver training organization with a diver education system based on progressive training that introduces skills, safety-related information and local environmental knowledge to student divers in all stages. The association owns more than 6400 PADI Dive Centers and Resorts, and more than 133,000 individual PADI Professionals who have issued more than 25 million certifications around the world
