Autograph Collection Hotels, a part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of over 30 brands, has announced the opening of The Halcyon Private Isles Maldives, Autograph Collection, marking the brand’s debut in the Maldives. Inspired by the myth of Alcyone and the idea of “halcyon days,” the resort aims to offer a retreat of tranquility, understated luxury, and refined discovery.

Located in Gaafu Alifu Atoll and spread across two private islands, the resort blends natural beauty with a sense of heritage and exploration. Its design draws influence from the work of 19th-century explorer H.C.P. Bell, reflecting a spirit of curiosity through artful detailing, intuitive service, and a strong sense of place. The resort is approximately 90 minutes from Malé by seaplane.

The Halcyon features 38 villas ranging from island and overwater sanctuaries to expansive multi-bedroom residences. Each villa includes private pools, open living spaces, and handcrafted interiors designed to harmonize with the ocean surroundings. The three-bedroom Halcyon Grand Estate offers the resort’s most elevated residential experience, complete with a rooftop terrace and direct lagoon access.

Bell Bar reflects vintage travel influences with signature spirits and crafted cocktails, while private dining experiences can be arranged across villas, beaches, and sandbanks.
