Crowe Maldives has welcomed Abdul Haleem to its growing team of enthusiastic professionals. 

Haleem is a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA, UK) and holds a Bachelor of Business Education (Accountancy) Degree from University of Wollongong, Australia. 

Crowe Maldives LLP is a member of Crowe Global, a Swiss verein; the network consists of more than 200 independent accounting and advisory services firms in more than 130 countries around the world. The firm and its subsidiaries also help clients make smart decisions that lead to lasting value with its tax, advisory and consulting services. 

In this new year 2021, the company plans to expand its suite of value adding services for clients by diversifying advisory services portfolio. Haleem is passionate about working with clients to integrate finance and strategy and will be focused on helping clients in strategy formulation, valuations, investments and financial planning. 

Haleem has over 15 years of industry experience and served as the CFO of the National Pension Fund, setting up administration and investment management operations and developing the finance team. He was responsible for administering over MVR 12 Billion of assets and worked in the banking sector in the areas of treasury management, regulatory reporting and corporate banking. Prior to joining Crowe, Haleem served as the Deputy CEO of Solarelle Insurnace, one of the leading companies in the Maldives. 

Haleem also headed the finance function at Maldives Red Crescent as the Treasurer while serving as the CFO of National Pension Fund and has led multiple projects focused on strategic asset allocations, social protection, investment research, due diligence and data analytics. Haleem is passionate about macro analysis and engages in research, teaching and publications.
