The Cesna 208B was the winner of the extensive selection process and is now equipped with a rear door ready for skydiving operations. The plane flew from the United Kingdom and landed at Ifuru Island Maldives on November 8, 2023 at 16:48 after a 3 day journey.

Leading the charge is the legendary Will Penny - a world champion freestyle skydiver with over 20 years of experience and more than 21,000 jumps under his belt. Will and his team of six will ensure that guests have a safe, scenic, and unforgettable experience.

Ifuru Island Maldives has now become a destination for adrenaline junkies and adventure seekers with the opening of the only permanent skydiving drop zone in the Maldives. From November 2023 until March 2024, guests will have the chance to leap out of a plane and free-fall over the turquoise waters. To introduce Ifuru Island Maldives in the British market, the resort partnered up with iFly London, an elite indoor skydiving company, and hosted British media journalists on 3 November 3, 2023. Attendees were given a sneak peek of the SkyDive plane landing at Ifuru Island via live feed.
