'Savaadheeththa Dhathuru' Commences from the Most Northern Atoll of Maldives

The registration for Savaadheeththa at Uligan witnessed an over 12 registered participants from yachts anchored in Uligan and 10 yachts have officially registered for the 18-day rally set to sail from Hoarafushi on February 6, 2022.  

Guests received a hearty welcome with refreshers followed by event registration conducted at the allocated registration desk setup on the main beach of Uligan.  

Event kits of Savaadheeththa were distributed post registration which included official event T- Shirts, Tote Bags and other souvenirs.  

Post registration, the managing director of MITDC Mr. Mohamed Raaidh addressed and welcomed the guests to Uligan with an official invitation to the inauguration of Savaadheehtha scheduled at Hoarafushui on February 5, 2021. With a brief itinerary of the event, Mr. Raaidh emphasized upon the exposure to heritage and community tourism in Maldives.  

Globally renowned yachts - Sailing Zatara and Sailing Aquarius also registered for the rally expressing their keen interest to experience community tourism and explore the rich culture and heritage of the local Maldivians.
