The first ever private jet has landed at Ga. Kooddoo Airport
making history.
Kooddoo Airport has been expanded to 1800 meters and is
designed in such a way that airbuses and 17-seat jets can land. Moreover, the
terminal consists of a first-class VIP and a CIP lounge in addition to two developed
accommodation blocks.
The jet landed at Kooddoo Airport around 13:10hrs yesterday
afternoon.
CEO of Kooddoo Airport, Mohamed Ali Janah expressed that it
was a pleasure to have a private jet land at Kooddoo Airport. Currently, a
major project is ongoing in Ga. Atoll to develop two resorts by his HRC
Company. West Indese's former cricketer Brian Lara was onboard and is
vacationing in Gdh. Atoll at the moment.
Janah confirmed that more of these jets will land at the
airport in the future and parking facilities for private jets have been
established in the airport. He further informed that more facilities will be
built at the airport targeted for high profile guests as well.
Kooddoo airport is a category C airport and is the world's first airport that is developed with a resort. The airport is developed by Singapore's Kiong Hong Construction in collaboration with Janah's Resort and Hotel Construction company.
