Kuredu Resort Maldives begins staff vaccination against COVID-19. On the first day, March 6, 2021, 36 employees were vaccinated, mainly the members of the front-of-house team, with more given in the following days.

The date was particularly poignant, the same date in 2020 saw the confirmation of the first COVID-19 case confirmed at the resort and the subsequent closure of Kuredu to guests and the majority of its staff family.

The Maldives’ government and resorts were very quick to put in place stringent procedures to allow safe travel to and from the resort islands and Kuredu reopened on November 1, 2020. The unique ‘one island, one resort’ set-up creates natural bubbles and the resort has safely welcomed many happy holidaymakers since reopening.

The pandemic has created turmoil across the world, but the scientific advances against COVID-19 have brought hope with vaccination programs being rolled out as fast as supplies allow and Kuredu is proud to be involved in strengthening the safety of its team and guests.
