Sustainability drives our actions, which are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. We emphasize energy efficiency with LED lighting and energy-saving appliances. Water conservation is a priority, with recycled wastewater and rainwater harvesting for planting. We transform organic waste into fertilizer. While we support the community through local sourcing, we also grow herbs and some produce in our Chef’s Garden. Engagement with local villages includes cultural shows and excursions. Through these efforts, we aim to preserve our environment and inspire guests to join us in making a positive impact.
Hotels and Resorts have to align our operations with Sustainable Development Goals by adopting eco-friendly practices such as switching to renewable energy like solar power, managing waste responsibly and reducing carbon footprint . Sourcing local products and offering fair job opportunities to support community well-being. Engaging staff and guests in sustainable activities and raising awareness make sustainability a shared effort. These small yet impactful steps, along with partnerships with green organizations, contribute to protecting the planet and achieving global goals.
We take thoughtful steps towards energy efficiency by using smart energy systems and transitioning to efficient appliances and lighting. Our water conservation efforts include an in-house bottling plant and water production systems. To minimise waste, we have eliminated single-use plastics and repurpose food waste for composting. Supporting well-being is equally important, with yoga and meditation programmes for associates with the “Nurturing Minds” campaign. We also partner with local health organisations to uplift our island community. Each initiative reflects our commitment to preserving the environment while fostering a healthy, connected community.
