Apple Services are Now Available in the Maldives

Apple has added the Maldives as a region in the App Store, launching its major services the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, Apple Arcade and Apple Podcasts in the Maldives yesterday, 21st April 2020.

The tech-giant launched its services to dozens of additional markets in Africa, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Oceania and more, in what has been one of the biggest geographical expansions for one of the worlds biggest firms.

The App Store, Apple Arcade, Apple Podcasts, and iCloud are now available in 20 additional countries including the Maldives, whereas the island nation is among 52 additional countries that now have access to the companys music streaming service, Apple Music.

Apple stated that as an introductory offer, it is offering a six-month free trial on Apple Music in the newly launched markets.

Oliver Schusser, Apples Vice President of Apple Music and International Content stated: "Were delighted to bring many of Apples most beloved Services to users in more countries than ever before,"

"We hope our customers can discover their new favorite apps, games, music, and podcasts as we continue to celebrate the worlds best creators, artists, and developers," he added.

App Store, now available in 175 countries and regions, is the worlds safest and most vibrant app marketplace, with over half a billion people visiting each week. It is a place where users discover new apps and it allows developers of all sizes to distribute their apps to customers around the world.

Apple Music has reached 167 markets, and offers over 60 million songs to choose from. With thousands of playlists and daily selections created by top-notch music experts and tastemakers, and the world-class global radio station Beats 1, Apple Music is the top music service for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac, HomePod, and CarPlay, and is also available on Android and other devices.

Apple Arcade is a ground-breaking game subscription service within the App Store, offering users unlimited access to the entire catalogue of more than 100 exclusive games created by some of the worlds most visionary developers, all playable across iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple TV.

Apple Podcasts provides the worlds largest catalogue of podcasts, now featuring over 1 million shows in more than 100 languages and 175 countries and regions.

iCloud is an essential service that keeps users personal content safe, up to date, and available across all their Apple devices, allowing them to store a lifetime of photos, keep important documents at their fingertips, and share and collaborate with ease. iCloud backs up iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch automatically and includes 'Find My' to help locate and secure missing devices. iCloud comes with 5GB of free storage and offers affordable 50GB, 200GB, and 2TB plans.
