Amilla Resort and Residences has launched a free series of home exercise videos in order to spread a little cheer to everyone cooped up at home during these trying times.

Filmed in a variety of stunning locations around the island, the aim of creating these weekly guided workout videos is to help people around the world under Covid-19 quarantine restrictions to stay healthy, enhance their mood and give them a sneak peek of one of the worlds most beautiful private island resorts. Whether they are previous Amilla guests or simply dreaming about travelling to the Maldives later, Amillas workout videos are a virtual ticket to paradise via your laptop or mobile device.

Having temporarily paused operations until July 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Islanders decided to put their heads together to come up with various ways in which the beautiful island could continue to be shared with the world. The exercise videos are one of the first of a collection of virtual Maldives experiences that will be launched by Amilla over the coming months. It is hoped that the experiences will offer a bit of escapism and spread some positivity to viewers.

The virtual workouts will be led by the resorts resident personal trainers and will be filmed in different exotic locations around the island. Amillas exercise videos can be streamed via the resorts YouTube channel and IGTV (Instagram). The first video launched on 6th April 2020, was led by trainers Shameem and Shamaam, taking place beside Amillas gorgeous freshwater main pool overlooking dreamy scenes of the Indian Ocean. The trainers guide viewers through dynamic stretching, lunges, burpees, Russian twists and more. A new workout is released every week.

Located on the crystalline waters of the Baa Atoll UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, just 30 minutes flying time from Velana international Airport, Amilla Resort and Residences offers 23.5 hectares of lush island with 67 luxurious rooms the vast majority over-water.

Dining at Amilla Resort and Residences is an adventure around the globe; with international gourmet cuisine, as well as vegan/keto/special diet options. From Maldivian curries to seafood extravaganzas, the cuisine at Amilla is both simple and indulgent.

Amilla offers a holistic approach with its unique Wellness Your Way concept which includes an abundance of organic homegrown cuisine, fresh from the Mystique Garden, special dietary and 'lifestyle eating' cuisine, probiotics, yoga, personal training, pro tennis coaching and massage therapies, to name but a few.
