SriLankan Airlines alters Colombo-London-Colombo flight routes

SriLankan Airlines has changed the route of Colombo-London-Colombo Flights.

Due to the prevailing unsettled situation in the Persian Gulf region, SriLankan Airlines has altered the route of its Colombo-London-Colombo flights to avoid the airspace of Iran and Iraq with immediate effect, as a precautionary measure.

SriLankan Airlines is closely monitoring the situation and is in contact with relevant national and international authorities, with the safety of its passengers and crew members being of paramount importance.

The national carrier of Sri Lanka, SriLankan Airlines has recently concluded an award-winning year with numerous global accolades including Asias Leading Airline to the Indian Ocean title for the third consecutive year and Worlds Leading Airline to the Indian Ocean for the fourth consecutive year, at the esteemed World Travel Awards, Asia and World ceremonies consecutively. The Airline was also nominated for the titles Worlds Leading Airline, Worlds Leading Airline - Business Class, Worlds Leading Airline Economy and Worlds Leading Cultural Airline.
