The 38th AGM of SLAITO Successfully Concludes

The 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO)has been recently held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo,

The event was attended by Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs John Amaratunga, who acknowledged SLAITOs achievements in his speech while mentioning that he looks forward to working closely with the association to take the tourism industry forward.

Furthermore, the Executive Committee for the year 2018/19 was also announced on the occasion, with Harith Perera selected as president to head the office bearers for the year ahead and Nalin Jayasundera as Vice-President of SLAITO respectively. 

The rest of the Executive Committee includes Nushani Ediriweera Secretary; Gayangi Wirasinha  Treasurer and Devinder Senaratne Immediate Past President. 

Other committee members elected were Mahen Kariyawasan, Chandra Wickremasinghe, Nilmin Nanayakkara, Shiromal Cooray, Tilak Weerasinghe, TMF Packeer, Yolande Anne Hansen, Bilal Mohamed, Nishad Wijetunga, Shanitha Fernando, Amith Sumanapala, Shamali De Vaz, Nalaka Amaratunga, Anuruddha Bandara and Charith De Alwis.

The evening which celebrated the success of SLAITOs endeavours during the financial year under review while raising a toast to another successful year ahead concluded with an elegant black-tie sit-down dinner and dance.
