Highrise has announced that the Tourism Authority of Thailand has Confirmed to be Co-Sponsor for the Third Edition of Vacations Expo which is scheduled to take place from 5th - 7th July in Male' City.

Vacations Expo has been the first ever Travel Exhibition held in the Maldives. The purpose of this event is to promote, lead and advance the travel and tourism industry. It will act as a perfect business platform that is to be attended by a considerable number of locals and expats, trade professionals and business owners associated with travel sector both inbound and outbound.

The event also provides opportunities for expats and locals to travel within the country by showcasing guest houses, excursion producers and Water-sports centres.     

Exhibitors of the previous year include Malaysia Tourism,  Singapore Tourism and major health tourism service providers from the region. In addition, airlines such as FlyDubai, Singapore Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Maldivian and Flyme has also showcased their services in past exhibitions.

Visit and Win Lucky Draws during Vacations Expo has been deemed remarkable with prize packages to Europe, Guesthouses, Resorts and even special pilgrimage (Umrah) Packages provided by Hajj and Umrah service providers who have taken part.

Thailand has been a destination which a lot of Maldivians and expats based in the country travels. 

There are three direct flights from Velana International Airport to Bangkok including Bangkok Airways, Maldivian, AirAsia X. Meanwhile, additional flights like Singapore Airlines flies via Changi and SriLankan Airlines have daily two flights via Colombo.
