Guest House Association of Maldives (GAM) members have met with the Ambassador of China to discussed ways to support and promote guesthouses to the China market . 

According to GAM , the Chinese ambassador appreciated the work carrying out by GAM and said china will support GAM activities and work very closely on all areas to increase the number of tourists arriving to Maldives from china.

"It was a pleasure to meet the Chines ambassador H.E. Mr. Zhang Lizhong again.We discussed  and agreed on cooperation to ensure Chines travellers safety and security in Guesthouses." Read a statement by GAM.

Last month 13,203 tourist visited to Maldives from China, which is a normally a major supplier of holidaymakers. This marked a 27 percent increase from last year. 

Guest House Association of Maldives is a Non profitable NGO which was  established in 2014 when a group of establishment owners got together to promote the local tourism industry.
