Dusit Thani Maldives has received a record consistent score of 97% in the prestigious Food Safety Asia (FSA) Commendation Awards for the second year in a row, the highest score ever achieved in The Maldives.

Presented in March 2018, this award reinforces the safety standards in place, as well as recognising the kitchen team for their commitment to ensuring the highest quality of food preparation.

"To be awarded with a consistently high score for the second year in a row is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the entire kitchen team," said Cameron Steele, Executive Chef, Dusit Thani Maldives.

"I am extremely proud of their ongoing commitment to our food quality and safety standards."

FSA is the first registered company in the Maldives practicing impartial and independent food preparation and safety systems auditing. The FSA Commendation Awards recognise and commend companies that have shown exceptional standards in food hygiene and HACCP and who adhere to the highest levels of food safety standards.

Companies must achieve an overall audit score consistently over 80 85 percent in order to be nominated.

Dusit Thani Maldives offers 94 villas and residences, along with three restaurants, two bars, one of the Maldives largest infinity pools and the award-winning Devarana Spa. The resort is surrounded by white sandy beaches, a turquoise lagoon and a rich house reef.

The resort is located on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, the Maldives first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, just 35 minutes by seaplane from the capital city, Malé.
