Amilla Fushi is hosting a jewellery academy from 19th to 31st of May where guests of the luxury island will be able to create their own personal piece of jewellery together with the well-known jewellery designer Patrik Muff.

Jewels with the desired MUFF-stamp stand for extraordinary art of gold smithing and passion for the handcraft and baroque ornamentation with a bit of punk and pomp. The creative mind behind all this is the swiss-born artist Patrik Muff who will be conducting an extraordinary luxury academy for the first time at the island of one´s dreams Amilla Fushi.

He also designed an exclusive signature piece which reflects the uniqueness of this exceptional place. The signature piece can only be ordered at Patrik Muff. The creative island timeout including the jewellery academy with Patrik Muff can be booked via the tour operator, "Art of travel".

Patrik Muff draws his inspiration by observing people and nature, especially when travelling. As part of the jewellery academy at Amilla Fushi, he wants to share new perspectives and introduces his participants into a world of boundless possibilities. In conformity with nature Patrik Muff often uses the ancient technique of moulding with sepia.

Therefore, the backbones of an octopus which is a natural product often found at the beaches of the Indian Ocean, are used as a negative form. The shell is extremely hard but the inside is soft, so that little shapes and objects can be dented and carved into the sepia. After adding sprues into the negative form both halves of the sepia are sealed and the hollow space in-between will be filled with liquid metal. The structure of the sepia bone then leaves a significant surface structure on the jewellery piece. The outcome is unique chain pendants with beautiful ocean motifs.

Travelling is inspiration for the luxury tour operator art of travel, as it requires creativity and opens possibilities to gain new experiences. That is also the main purpose of the jewellery academy with Patrik Muff at Amilla Fushi.

Interested vacationers can book a special package from May 18th to June 1st 2018: jewellery enthusiasts will fly with Emirates from Munich to the Maldivian island Amilla Fushi and reside 13 nights in one of the elegant Beach Villas.
