MATATO Launches Maldives Travel Awards 2018

Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has officially launched the 7th edition of Maldives Travel Awards 2018.


The Maldives Travel Awards 2018 was inaugurated by MATATO's President Mr. Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz in a beach-themed event set at Coco Bodu Hithi Resort.


"MATATO has developed tremendously over the past 12 years. MATATO's works on advocacy and training, participation in travel trade events, lobbying, publications, recognition events and destination marketing has increased immensely the past few years" Said MATATO's President Mr. Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz, speaking at the ceremony.


He also noted that MATATO participated in a record number of international travel trade events last year, and more is to come this year.


"We used to be well-known for Maldives Travel Awards. Today we have crossed that barrier. We are the biggest destination marketing body in the Maldives." Mr. Ghiyas added.


Ooredoo Maldives was revealed as the Platinum Partner for this year's Maldives Travel Awards. Gold and Silver Partners were Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives.


Other partners of the event includes; Blak as Advertising Partner, Sun Online as Online Media Partner, Maldives Insider as Travel Media Partner, Digital Studio as Photography Partner, NERN as Videography Partner, Kodefly as the Digital Partner, and Printlab as Printing Partner.


MATATO Maldives Travel Awards 2018 is scheduled for 2 editions; MATATO Maldives Travel Awards Guest House Edition and the MATATO Maldives Travel Awards People's Edition & MATATO Maldives Travel Awards GALA
