New lives were born at Dusit Thani Maldives this month as the resort's last turtle nest of 2017 hatched on one of the beaches and 30 baby Green Turtles came into the world.

The hatchlings were kept overnight in a protected environment and then released from the beach the next day as the sun set over the horizon, to make their way across the sand to the waters edge and their first dip into the ocean.

The island is home to many Hawksbill and Green Turtle nests each year when the females come out of the sea at night to lay their eggs.

Located in Baa Atoll, the Maldives first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Dusit Thani Maldives is committed to the protection of the local and surrounding environment and practises many CSR activities and initiatives.

Dusit Thani Maldives is located on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, just 35 minutes by seaplane from the capital city, Malé.

The resort surrounded by white sandy beaches, a turquoise lagoon and a rich house reef, offers guests 94 villas and residences, along with three restaurants, two bars, one of the Maldives largest infinity pools and the award-winning Devarana Spa.
