Maldives Exhibits at Seafood Expo North America

Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture and Maldives Fisheries Promotion Board together with Fisheries industry partners  are currently representing Maldives at Seafood Expo North America which started on 11th March  and lasts till 13th March in Boston, Massachusetts.


Seafood Expo North America is the largest seafood industry event of its kind on the continent where suppliers from all around the world can bring their products to buyers from restaurants, supermarkets, catering firms, seafood markets, hotels, airlines, cruise lines and more.


According to the event's organiser Diversified Communications, the 2018 edition of the exposition features 1,341 exhibiting companies from 57 countries, including newcomers Fiji, Oman, Ukraine, and Venezuela within more than 258,360 net square feet of exhibit space.




"It is very impressive to see a packed convention centre with so many companies presenting their seafood products, services or processing equipment to the North American market,"Said Wynter Courmont, event director for Diversified Communications.


"Walking the exhibit floor, you can see, hear, and feel the pulse of the seafood industry. Through in-person conversations and meetings, as well as in the structured conference program, people can get a clear sense of the trends their peers are excited about, and engage in productive conversations about emerging challenges."


The three-day expo consists of comprehensive conference program with more than 25 sessions, as well as a series of special events including a master class presentation, a chef demonstration, the 12th Oyster Shucking Competition, and the Seafood Excellence Awards competition for Best New Retail Product and Best New Foodservice Product.
