Lily Beach has organised a host of festivities to celebrate the auspicious "Year of the Dog", the upcoming Chinese New Year.

Lily Beach will welcome the New Year on Thursday evening at a Chinese themed Lily Maa with a sumptuous buffet accompanied by soft Chinese music with lots of Chinese dishes, such as Pekin Duck, Chinese Steamed Ginger Fish and Dim Sum.

Furthermore, "Cai Shen Ye", the god of prosperity in his traditional costume, will be greeting guests with red envelopes in which great discounts will be given for guests to use during their stay at the resort.

According to Lily Brach, the evening is expected to be in full swing by 21.30 with a firework display.

A special Fireworks Cruise offers the chance to admire the show from the top deck of a dhoni (a traditional Maldivian style boat), while sipping sparkling wine and tasting exquisite pastries. The price to join this cruise is $118++ per couple

Lily Beach is a Maldives resort at its finest, boasting a worldwide reputation for its pristine beaches, lush tropical vegetation and its exotic house reef just few meters away from the shore.

The favourable location in the spectacular Ari Atoll places Huvahendhoo Island, on which Lily Beach is set, in close proximity to some of the most amazing dive sites in the world.
