After two very successful editions of South Asian Travel Awards held in Sri Lanka and Maldives, Highrise has announced that the third edition of SATA will open up for nominations on the 15 of January 2018.

According to the event organiser Highrise, properties and service providers will be able to register for the nominations till March 15 2018.

Ms. Mariyam Maaisha, Sales & Marketing Manager of Highrise, states that the Gala will be held during late September/October 2018 along with a SATA Opportunity Day allowing the leading tourism sector of South Asia to network within the retreat.

The 2018 edition of SATA is scheduled to take place in India while the city and venue has yet to be announced.

The announcement for the next host country for SATA was made during SATA 2017s gala and awards function held in Addu City by the Director of Highrise, Ismail Hameed.

Ismail said SATA was held with support and cooperation from a lot of parties. He said they planned on holding a third edition of SATA in India in 2018, based on the success of the awards in 2016 and 2017.

Launched by Maldives-based event management company Highrise, SATA is the first ever regional travel awards endorsed by multinational associations, providing the tourism sector of the South Asian region with recognition towards their facilities and service excellence. It aims to encourage and raise service standards in the regions tourism industry.
