The International award was presented to the resort at 2017 World Luxury Hotel Awards gala held at the Kulm Hotel St Moritz in Switzerland on the December 2.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards is the pinnacle of recognition of accomplishment by hotels in the luxury hospitality industry, offering acknowledgement to hotels for earning the respect of guests and industry players alike, by awarding hotels, as voted for by the public.

Kurumba was previously crowned as the Best Luxury Family All-Inclusive Hotel in the Maldives at last years edition of the awards.
