Jumeirah Vittaveli has received 6 awards at the World Luxury hotel awards 2017, three of which was for the newly opened Royal Residence.

Jumeirah Vittaveli has been named Global Hotel of the Year 2017 at the 2017 World Luxury Hotel Awards. The resort was also global winner for Best Luxury Island Resort and continent winner for Best Luxury Family Beach Resort. 

The Royal Residence at Jumeirah Vittaveli was named continent winner for Best Luxury Beachfront Villa, Best Luxury Hideaway Villa, and Best Luxury Private Villa an incredible overall result for Jumeirah Vittaveli.

These titles symbolise the crowning glory of an astounding awards year for Jumeirah Vittaveli, this year alone, the resort won 12 awards prior to the World Luxury Awards, amongst which the Maldives' & South Asia's Most Romantic Resort and Maldives' & South Asia's Leading Wellness & Spa Resort at the South Asian Travel Awards, the Best Luxury Wellness Spa for the Continent for Talise Spa at Vittaveli at the World Luxury Spa Awards, and Indian Ocean's Leading Luxury Hotel Villa for the Royal Residence at the World Travel Awards. 

The resort has also achieved its Sustainable Tourism Certification from Green Globe for the third year running, a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, and the Elite Partner Award by Booking.com.
