Mr.Qaisar Naseem assigned as the Group General Manager of Villa Hotels and Resorts.

Mr.Qaisar Naseem has been assigned as the Group General Manager of leading local resort operator, Villa Hotels and Resorts.

 

Mr.Qaisar first started working in the Hospitality industry as a receptionist at Thudufushi and later joined the Royal Island Resort & Spa in Baa Atoll and since then has been appointed to various positions in the resorts of Villa Hotels & Resorts.

 

Mr. Qaisar has previously commanded the administration and the development work In Royal Island Resort, which was then under construction and took over as the Assistant Manager when Royal Island Resort opened in 2001 and was soon promoted to the Acting Manager.

 

After completing his higher education in the field of hotel management in Malaysia, Mr. Qaisar took over the reins as the Resort Manager at Paradise Island Resort in 2010. He was promoted to the post of General Manager a year later and has since held the position.

 

Mr. Qaisar has been serving as the General Manager of Paradise Island Resort & Spa since and has led the resort to receive several international and local awards, including recognition in the World Travel Awards, World Luxury Travel Awards and Maldives Travel Awards over the past eight years,. His personal accolades include being named the Best General Manager in the Indian Ocean category at the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2015, and Tourism Personality of the Year 2017 at the Maldives Travel Awards.

 



His new appointment as Group General Manager of Villa Hotels and Resorts will be providing him with an expanded role of overseeing the management and operations of Villas Royal Island Resort and Spa, Holiday Island Resort and Spa, Sun Island Resort and Spa, and Fun Island Resortand Spa.

While Mr. Qaisar will still continue to lead the operations of Paradise Island Resort in person, he will also be coordinating with the management teams of all five Villas premise to evaluate, design, develop and deliver to expand the operational aspects in line with the companys guiding principles and values.

 

"My perspective for the future will be analysing, designing, developing, delivering and evaluating all operational aspects of Villa Hotels & Resorts within the framework of the groups properties," States  Mr.Qaisar, commenting on his new role.
