In an elegant ceremony held in the South of Maldives, in Addu Atoll, the resort was awarded country & regional winner for Most Romantic Hotel / Resort as well as for Leading Wellness & Spa Hotel / Resort.

"This is the first year we participated in the South Asian Travel Awards, the first regional awards established to reward excellence in hospitality." States Mr Amit Majumder, the General Manager of the resort who received the statues on stage.

The Talise spa at Jumeirah Vittaveli has been named Best Luxury Wellness Spa in Maldives by the World Travel Awards in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Treatments at the spa are inspired by concepts of light and space connecting with the purity and vibration of ingredients.

The resort produces their own island made 100% pure coconut oil, which is used in treatments and available as a take-home souvenir. The garden and over-water treatment rooms provide romantic spaces for couples who wish to enjoy blissful relaxation, while the spa menu also includes dedicated Mother-Daughter and Father-Son pampering sessions.

At Jumeirah Vittaveli, couples may consult a dedicated wedding proposal butler to create a tailor-made proposal, and can enjoy such romantic experiences as a candle-lit Aqua Dinner set-up in the shallow area of the pool, beach-side BBQs, or sandbank picnics, in addition to designated romantic rituals at the Talise Spa. The Ocean Suites offer the ultimate in privacy for couples looking for an exclusive romantic hideaway, as the villas are built in the midst of the lagoon and only accessible by 24 hour boat service.
