Resorts in Maldives Leaves Mark on Conde Nast Travellers top 50 Resorts in the World

The 30th annual Readers Choice Awards by Conde Nast Traveller has listed five properties from the Maldives under "the best 50 resorts in the World".

According to Conde Nast Traveller, More than 300,000 travellers took part in the 30th annual Readers' Choice Awards survey.

Naladhu Private Island, NIYAMA Private Islands, One&Only Reethi Rah, Soneva Fushi and Cheval Blanc Randheli was featured in the extravagant list.

Nalaidhu Private Island was featured as the first selection in the list and was described by Conde Nast Traveller as an impressive private retreat.

"With only 19 expansive guest quarters in South Malé Atoll, this intimate resort provides a level of privacy and personal attention impressive even in the Maldives." Described Conde Nast Traveller

"With a location only 30 minutes from Malés international airport by the hotels speedboat, Naladhu represents the Maldives most convenient exclusive destination yet"

Nalaidhu Private Island

Niyama Private Islands Maldives, Dhaalu Atoll came fourth on the list. Conde Nast stated, Booking at Niyama Private Island Maldives is the first step toward doing the Maldives right, as it's the perfect resort for a honeymoon—but surprisingly great for families, too. 

The resort spans to two islands—Play and Chill. Whilst Play will give guests water-based activities, on Chill there are incredible spa treatments and soothing over-water studios. Guests are encouraged to hop from one island to the other. Located in Dhaalu Atoll, NIYAMA Private Islands offers an intimate and private setting.

Niyama Private Islands

Coming on the 15th place is One&Only Reethi Rah which was described by Conda Nast Traveller as an instant favorite among honeymooners and celebrity couples.

"One&Onlys luxury resort scatters 122 thatch-roofed villas (all with terrazzo bathtubs for two) along the 12 beaches of this 109-acre island in the North Malé Atoll." states Conde Nast Traveller

One&Only Reethi Rah 

Soneva Fushi, Maldives was featured as the 20th selection and was described as A chic, eco-friendly getaway in the Baa Atoll.

"Your wish? Literally their command: Each villa comes with its own private butler, which means that if you want ice cream at 2:47 a.m., you get it." stated conde nast Traveller describing the magnificent property.


Soneva Fushi, Maldives

Finally Cheval Blanc Randheli, Maldives comes 34th on the list. The resort which was a relatively recent introduction from the luxury conglomerate LVMH ( owners of Loous Vuitton, Celline, Dior etc) undoubtedly sets the bars high.

"As looks go, it doesnt get chicer than this, but the whimsical touches—turtles drawn in the sand along the path to the villa, thoughtful little notes from my butler left alongside the pitchers of fresh juice—are what truly give this place its character." Conde Nast describes the splendour of the resort


Cheval Blanc Randheli

Condé Nast Traveller was started in 1997 and the magazine runs several industry-recognized awards, the most important being the Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Awards, which take place every year. Other annual awards include the Readers' Spa Awards, The Gold List (most luxurious hotels) and The Hot List (best new hotels). The latter two are compiled from recommendations from the magazine's editors and writers.
