According to a
statement made by Lily Beach, Rodrigue brings a wealth of experience with him
as he joins the Lily Beach kitchen team.
Since joining Lily
beach in August, Rodrigue has wowed and impressed lily beachs guests with his
fantastic creations. As he always wants to deliver elegant, light desserts that
taste, and look fantastic, Rodrigue and his creations have become a firm
favourite with all Lily Beachs visitors.
Rodrigue trained in
France, at the prestigious ENSP Yssingeaux (Alain Ducasses Pastry School), and
graduated with a CAP Patissier, the French diploma in traditional French
patisserie.
Rodrigue was able to
move away from France accompanied by formal apprenticeships with some of
Frances top pastry shops at the age of 20, where his talents and passion for
the job saw him join the Sofitel hotel in Abu-Dhabi.
Enjoying the opportunity to expand his
skill sets on the international scene, and learn new techniques from the chefs
around him, including Jeremy Grovalet, Rodrigue has grown and developed into
atop class pastry chef.
Apart from working at
the Lily Beachs kitchen, Rodrigue now enjoys spending time with his young son,
and when time allows him, in the gym.
Lily Beach is a
resort at its finest, boasting a worldwide reputation for its pristine beaches,
lush tropical vegetation and its exotic house reef just few meters away from
the shore. The favourable location in the spectacular Ari Atoll places
Huvahendhoo Island, Lily Beach is in close proximity to some of the most
amazing dive sites in the world.
