Niyama Private Islands Maldives is hosting Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist Dr Rui Pedro Loureiro for exclusive consultations and treatments.

Dr Rui is based at Drift by Niyama spa from October 1-29, where offers a complimentary consultation to see which therapies will work best for individual guests.

Dr. Rui is a traditional Chinese medicine doctor and a licensed acupuncturist. He graduated from the Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine in China and holds a postgraduate diploma in Cosmetic Acupuncture from CMIR/ACUMEDIC, London in conjunction with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.

An expert in diagnosis, Dr. Rui has practiced in hospitals in China and clinics in London and Portugal, and is head of the Chinese Medicine Department of St. Louis Hospital in Lisbon and the clinical director of Clinica Cura Pura in Aveiro. 

With 17 years of clinical practice, he is a passionate and dedicated professional, and a lifetime student and researcher of Chinese medicine.
